Wodonga based Rice Graphic Images entered the Chamber of Commerce Albury/Wodonga Business Awards for 2014 and came away from the gala dinner and presentation evening on Friday 10 October winning not just one, but three prestigious gongs:
Excellence in Manufacturing Industrial and Logistic Services
Excellence in Medium/Large Business
Most outstanding Business
The Chamber Business Awards is now in its 17th year. In 2008, the inaugural year, the Awards attracted over 150 nominations, with each year’s awards building on the previous year's success. The Chamber Business Awards have entrenched themselves as the premier event for the Albury/Wodonga’s business community. The intention of the awards is to recognise and reward business excellence within a particular industry. These accolades encompass a broad range of business functions and areas, providing opportunities for all types of organisations for networking and assist businesses in sharing success and developing new relationships. Add real value to the bottom line. Acknowledge, reward and encourage business activity, engagement and growth. Provide the forum for businesses to acknowledge and celebrate their achievements and be recognised for their valued contribution to the community and most importantly encourage innovation, business excellence and good corporate social responsibility practices.
Entrants are asked to submit on a restricted word count basis their business growth in the previous 12/24 months. Detail strategies and plans to achieve this growth during the time frame – how they implemented these strategies, plus what measurable results were achieved and how are they demonstrated.
The team of 13 judges is lead by career banker Paul McPartland, with the balance selected for their extensive commercial knowledge within many business spheres from a cross section of industries and academia.
RGI managing director, David Rice says, “ We are thrilled to have received these prestigious awards, in particular from our local Albury/Wodonga business community. Our business has grown experientially and these-days it’s truly a national company supplying technical innovations and first-class product through our facilities Australia-wide, as well as internationally.”
RGI’s husband and wife co-directors, David and Jodie Rice lead the RGI team and have positioned RGI as arguably Australia’s foremost brand management company. Offering the client a complete in-house development process: from industry profile, to graphic design studio, product manufacture and onsite installation. It leads the industry in cutting edge technology with the use of vinyl wrapping and endurance protective coatings, applying it to a plethora of surfaces and integrated compound curvatures. RGI’s Sydney operations director Jason Thompson is an artisan, whose skill in this type of vinyl wrapping technology is outstanding, along with his stock and trade as an adept and neoteric sign writer.
“A successful business is all about the people (the right employees) and experience has shown us that beside that time honoured adage of – ‘the harder you work the luckier you get’ – you must build a dedicated team spirit dovetailing all levels of the business as a tour de force, striving for first-class quality, on-time delivery and budget cost control,” adds David.
Winners are Grinners – Sydney operations director, Jason Thompson, managing director David Rice and company director Jodie Rice displaying all three awards.
